An assured performance from our u16s this afternoon against a young but energetic St Comgall’s side under a sunny Antrim Town sky has closed the gap on B division leaders St John’s to just 3 points. The Malone girls have the advantage of 2 games in hand which feasibly could see them go top with just 3 games left in this incredibly competitive group.

A potential winner could still emerge from any one of 5 teams should any of the favourites slip up but if we continue to deliver our best, we will certainly feature in the final round.

Many thanks to a spirited St Comgall’s who even with their limited squad, ensured that the game was played in a competitive and respectful fashion. Final score ran out 2.6 v 7.11 in favour of St Brigid’s.

Next up, some of our 16s join up with the seniors on Sunday night in a home match before our next 16s home encounter with the amalgamated Cairde Bhéal Feirste. Date TBC.
