I wanted to write to everybody to thank you all for your help in 2015. We have had a great year both and off the field and everybody should be congratulated.
Of course, there are areas we can improve upon and we need everybody to help in whatever way they can to move us forward
As you would be aware we have postponed the AGM until Sunday 10th January and this gives us the opportunity to bring more people on board to help run the Club.

Whilst trying to continually build on those areas where we are strong, we also need to look at those areas which need developed if we are to see ourselves as a true GAA Club.
We have drawn up a list of our priorities and if you are interested in being involved in any particular area please let us know so we can develop an overall strategy and slot people into areas where they feel comfortable. Please do not hesitate to contact me, and we look forward to moving forwards:
• Develop Hurling and Ladies Football at all levels and we need more female input and also those with Hurling backgrounds.
• Improve on our football at all levels and ensure coaches have the support and external coaching they require at all levels and this also applies to Hurling and Ladies Football. To look at the possibility of developing Camogie.
• That we concentrate on the overall ‘connectivity’ aspect of the Club so that all are kept abreast of all affairs within the Club. That all members, teams, parents and Committee can communicate effectively and aware as to what each group is doing and that each group can then support the rest of the Club at matches, functions etc.
• That we develop our Health and Well Being aspect of the Club, which include ensuring a more robust Child Protection policy, an ethos of respect and inclusivity for all members.
• That we develop the Cultural aspect of the GAA. There is so much talent within our Club which lies dormant from the Scor aspect. Why can we not compete for medals in Irish Dancing, Music, Drama, Quiz and Recitation? Where is our talent and our coaches in these areas?
• To develop the Irish language
• To raw up a history of the Club, even though we are still in our infancy, so that the records are there for the future.
• To continue to sustain the Club financially and have solid funding processes in the Club to ease the burden each year.
• To continue to sustain and develop a community atmosphere and interconnect with the rest of our community
• To develop a strategy as to where we are, want to be and how to get there. To write a development plan and ensure the Club has a robust governance policy in place.
