image       St Brigids GAC are introducing Gaelic for Mothers & Others (G4M&O).  Training will take place on Mondays from 8pm to 9pm at Harlequins.  The first training session is Monday 11 May 2015.  All females are welcome regardless of level of fitness.

This is an initiative set up by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) about 8 years ago to offer those busy people (who often taxi children to training and matches, make and serve refreshments, etc.) their own sporting and fitness outlet.  It is an innovative way to introduce mothers and other women who are over 18 years to playing Ladies Gaelic Football and enjoying the benefits of the Association, from which the rest of their family have often benefitted.

The training and football takes place in a fun, non-competitive and social environment.  It provides an opportunity for women to get weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting others in their area.

The initiative has proved hugely popular with women of all ages and has taken off in all 32 counties with success stories popping up all over the country.  There is one provincial blitz organised in each province every year and one national blitz day.
