We are aiming to support the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service with a blood donation drive in June. The dedicated transfusion coach will visit St Brigid’s in Summer if we can secure enough commitment from club members to ensure the visit is worthwhile.
Despite the issuing of over 70 pre-paid return registration cards already within the Club, the NI Blood Transfusion Service have advised me that the return response so far has been “very poor!” We need to ensure a minimum of 50-100 units in order for the NHS to bring the bus to St Brigid’s so we need volunteers!
If you are over 17 years of age, registration cards are available from the bar in HQ or contact Philip Doyle on 07967977630 for cards. Please do not hesitate as the transfusion bus needs to be booked months in advance. No date can be confirmed until registration cards are returned!
