St Brigids GAC Annual Club Mass will take place at the 10:30am Mass on Sunday 1st of February 2015. St Brigids GAC is the largest club in the parish engaging with 250 families, providing a sporting outlet for the young and the not so young. Everyone is welcome to partake in all of the activities we provide. The club is run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to the future of the youth in our parish, with a passion for Gaelic sports. It costs in excess of £70,000 per year to cover the costs of running the club, with only half of these costs are covered from membership fees. The remainder of the club revenue is raised annually from donations. We are about to embark on the most exciting development in the clubs history with the further development of our facilities at Musgrave Park. Starting this Spring, and with funding secured from Belfast City Council and the GAA, St Brigids GAC will have permanent changing rooms and a second full sized pitch. Our contribution toward the overall cost is £250,000 which we must also raise from donations. This is a very worthwhile cause providing tangible benefits to all of the families in the parish and the wider community. We would ask every member of the parish, if at all possible, to contribute to the collection after every mass this weekend. We would welcome everyone to join us for coffee and refreshments in the Parish Hall after the 10:30am Mass on Sunday 1st February to find out more about the facilities we provide.
