St Brigid’s U8 girls played in their second mini-blitz of the season on a warm Saturday morning up at St Paul’s.   The girls started well in an 8-a-side game against one of the two St Paul’s teams, kicking some lovely points in the second half for a good win.  As Lamh Dearg were late arriving, for our second match, the girls played a 13 a side game against the full St Paul’s team on a much larger pitch.  A very encouraging and competitive performance all round resulted in another win.   In the final match of the day, against the 7 players of St Gall’s the aim was to ensure all players got as much time as possible, and the constant substitutions led to some looser marking and a number of late scores for St Gall’s.    All in all a very encouraging day and congratulations to all the girls (Aileen, Aoibhe, Caitlin, Caoimhe, Cara, Hannah, Honor, Maire, Maya, Molly, Niamh, Orla and Orlaith).
