St Brigids minors travelled to Shaws Road on Tuesday night last and lost in extra time in the South Antrim Dwyer Cup, preliminary round

The harsh truth was that the amalgamated Setanta team were the better side and even after being reduced to 14 men after 20 minutes of the first half, went in 5  points to 1 at the break in front, and were full value for their lead.

A 6 minute golden spell from full forward Matt Keenan brought the blues back into the game and the Malone boys fought back to level terms at the final whistle.

The hosts were back to full complement in the additional time and
got a first half goal and were never challenged after getting the vital lead goal.

Best for Naomh Brid: Niall Lundy, Matt Keenan

This was a poor performance coming on the back of a challenge game win away to
St Pauls Holywood last time out.
Attention will return to the all county league where they have won two out of the first three games  to date.
