Well done to the reserves on a hard fought win over Portglenone at Harlequins on Wednesday evening. Goals from Collie Mohan and Ronan McGrady seemed to have settled the affair with 15 minutes left but a defensive lapse gifted the Bannsiders a soft goal and made it a nervy finale for the home side who rallied with a super relieving point from Cormac McGrady. Damian Judge’s young squad can take heart from this gutsy performance in which the McGrady brothers, Collie Mohan, Ben Kelly, Peter Lundy and Mickey Donnelly were particularly prominent on a very cold evening. A special mention too to minor Jack Gildea who made a promising debut and delivered a fine pass for Collie Mohan’s opening goal.
