Band of brothers triumph in the Reserve C'ship

A St Brigid’s Senior Men’s Reserve side featuring no less than 5 sets of brothers saw off a spirited Tir na Nog challenge to win out 3-15 to 2-6 in the Reserve Cup last night at Musgrave.

The Randalstown team were out of the blocks quickest and raced into a three point lead. The home side squandered a few scores until Peter Mooney knocked one over from a free to settle the home side. For the remaining 45 minutes the blues remained in control and the Mackle, McDonald, Mooney, Kelly, and McCrudden clans were all to the fore in this competitive encounter.

The reserve championship team now meet the winners of St Galls and Cargin who drew last night in their quarter final.
