The minor footballers travelled to Glenavy and were beaten by the villagers in a keenly contested match last Tuesday night. A promsing first half which led to a 8 points to 4 lead at the break should have been ample incentive for the Belfast boys to push on. However, the visitors outmuscled Naomh Brid in the second quarter with much greater hunger and just about deserved their one point victory.

However, the minors are getting good quality games and there are good signs of player development from the panel. Rory Winters had an excellent day at full back and Ben Leonard was joined by James Gildea as the pick of the rest.

Next Tuesday the minors are at home to Dunloy at Musgrave at 7:30 PM.
