The senior reserves claimed two much needed points with a comprehensive win over St Endas at Hightown on Sunday. FT: St Endas II 1-3 Naomh Brid II 3-12 The half time score of 3 8 to 0 2 told the story of the first half. Micky Donnelly scored a lucky goal (depsite what Micky may say) after 15 minutes, which followed a Jimmy King rasper to the net two minutes earlier, and the writing was on the wall for the Hightown men. The next score was a Conor Mackle green flag and the hosts were truly shell shocked.J King, C Mackle, R Brolly, A Sweeney, B MacDonald all getting points in the first half, and all went very well for St Brigids.

The St Endas side fielded with three 17 year olds and were always up against it and found Donnelly and the stylish Ronan Mackle rock solid in a sturdy defence. John McGuckian had a great hour at midfield and the energy of Ben Kelly his partner proved a strong combination. Up front Ryan Brolly, Conor Mackle and an improving Andrew Sweeney all performed well on the day. Subs M Ramsay, D McKeever, Matt Kelly. C Quinn all got a reasonable run out and played their part in a steady second half performance into a slight breeze. The final score of 3-12 to 1-3 will surely act as a boost of confidence for the Wednesday night game away to St. Malachys. at cherryvale.
