The Naomh Brid Under 14 girls got the 2010 league campaign of to a terrific start when they travelled the short journey accross to Milltown and engaged the St Gall’s girls for the first competitive game of the season. The girls got off to a very good start landing a goal and 2 points before St Galls were able to get into gear. A couple of good quality points brought the Milltown girls back into the hunt and for the rest of the first half this extremely entertaining match kept the spectators on edge.

The second half saw the St Brigids girls again settle first and with a run of scores 3 goals and 5 points management moved to make a number of personnel changes. This ensured that all the girls got a run out ahead of this Saturday’s Feile competition.

The team of Roisin O’Hare, Helen Bogue, Niamh Webb, Grace McCormick, Niamh McCann, Niamh Dunford, Emma Magee, Bronagh King, Roicha Carson, Abi Carleton, Hanna Doherty, Lara Heaney, Blaithin McBride, Jenny Walsh, Emir O’Kane, Ellie Heaney, Aveen Maguire, Laura Smart, Catherine Hamill, Michelle Magee and Anna Maguire all performed magnificently and joint captains King and Carleton are clearly looking forward to this weekend’s Feile.
