A strong St Brigid’s team, well rested over the summer break, easily accounted for a very young St John’s side in the final league match of the campaign. The scoreline of 2-13 to 1-0 reflected the dominance of the bigger Malone Road boys. Promising displays from Maurice Campbell in defence and the returning Sean McKiernan stopped the visitors from making any headway. Up front the twin towers of McGrath and Lagan were to the fore and a constant threat to the Whiterock boys. It was good to see some of our younger stars on show: Caolan Lynch, Joseph Cunnane, and Conor King are all strong additions to the panel.

Well done to date to manager Jim Hughes, and his assistants Declan Boyle, Sean McCormick and Conor MacSherry.
