The Division 4 side short of a few regulars, but with a couple of new recruits got off to a flying start, playing with a breeze and down hill at Falls Park raced into a first half lead of 2-7 to 3 points thanks to good work from Cilian Toal at the back, Connor McHendry in midfield and Rory O’Neill and Jimmy “Bing”.

Despite Stephen Morrissey pulling off a tremendous save in the second half and St Brigids losing their inspirational full back and Captain Paul Brady, Sarsfields could not find the net to register a goal to bring them close to a Division 4 side that have won two out of the last three.

Everyone on the Division 4 panel wishes Paul Brady a speedy recovery from a nasty injury. Paul was in top form and will be a big loss on the playing front over the next few weeks.
