The Seniors made it seven out of seven, running out comfortable winners over Rossa at Woodlands. Truth be told however it was not as simple as the final score suggested, certainly in the first half, given that John Mackle made two point blank saves and Joe Brolly’s goal was fortuitous to say the least. That combined with a defence doing a fair impersonation of a sieve will hardly have too many intermediate sides in the County shaking in their shoes.

Half Time: St Brigids 1 – 6
Rossa 0 – 4

The second half saw a less complacent performance and some good point scoring from Brolly(3), Chris Rogers, Keelan McCrudden and Frankie Devlin. Score of the night came from Jimmy King when he again lobbed the keeper… who says lightning doesn’t strike twice?
